A FEW MORE ANSWERS

AirMirror vs AirScreen FAQ

Is AirMirror an AirScreen alternative for Android TV?

Yes, for receiving an iPhone, iPad, or Mac screen on a supported Android TV through AirPlay. That overlap does not mean every AirScreen protocol or advanced receiver feature has an identical AirMirror equivalent.

Do I need AirMirror on my iPhone as well?

Not for the native AirPlay route to the Android TV receiver. Start Screen Mirroring from your Apple device. The separate AirMirror iPhone app provides another route for compatible-TV screen sharing and local media casting.

Does AirScreen support Miracast on current Android TV versions?

Its Google Play description says the Miracast feature is disabled since Android Oreo, version 8.0. Do not assume that the protocol list on the website means Miracast is available on your current TV.

Can I also mirror my Apple device to Windows?

Yes. The Windows download opens AirMirroring - Screen Mirroring & Cast. Its Microsoft Store description supports receiving iPhone, iPad, and Mac screens, plus local media, on a Windows PC over the same Wi-Fi network. This is Windows receiving, not a Windows-to-TV sender.

Can AirMirror mirror Netflix or other protected video?

AirMirror does not bypass DRM restrictions. Protected streaming video may appear black or fail to play. Use the service’s TV app or an officially supported playback method for that content.

Try AirMirror on your screen.

Share your Apple device’s screen and personal media with a compatible TV or Windows PC on the same Wi-Fi.
