A FEW MORE ANSWERS
AirMirror vs 1001 TVs FAQ
Can AirMirror replace 1001 TVs for iPhone-to-Android-TV mirroring?
Yes, the AirMirror Android TV receiver provides a native AirPlay route for that task on supported devices. It is a different connection workflow and does not imply an equivalent for every 1001 TVs feature.
Do I need an app on both devices for the Android TV workflow?
For the 1001 TVs Android TV app workflow described here, its guide installs the app on the iPhone and TV. AirMirror’s native AirPlay route installs the receiver on Android TV and uses the iPhone’s built-in Screen Mirroring control. Other 1001 TVs workflows have different requirements: browser mirroring uses its iPhone/iPad app and a supported receiving browser without a 1001 TVs receiver app.
What if I also need to mirror to a computer or another phone?
For Windows receiving, AirMirroring supports an iPhone, iPad, or Mac sending to a PC over the same Wi-Fi. The three AirMirror store listings reviewed here do not establish a native macOS receiver or phone receiving. 1001 TVs documents those additional receiving destinations.
Will switching apps fix a black video screen?
It depends on the cause. If a streaming service blocks screen capture with DRM, AirMirror cannot remove that restriction. Test your own photos or an unprotected video first, then use the service’s supported TV playback option for protected content.
Try AirMirror on your screen.
Share your Apple device’s screen and personal media with a compatible TV or Windows PC on the same Wi-Fi.
